The Monumental Townhouse, Historic Townhouse.
This lovely four storey Dutch town house retains many of it's original features and is just 5 minutes walk from Central Station and Dam Square.
The building, close to Central Station has recently been completely renovated, maintaining the old characteristics which give this house its authentic Amsterdam style. This does include steep stairs (in Amsterdam steep is very steep).
This apartment's location is within easy walking distance of all of Amsterdam's major attractions and just 5 minutes walk from Centraal Station and Dam Square. A very quiet location with almost no traffic.
The town house is spread across four floors and consists of a kitchen on the ground floor, living room on the first floor and two separate double bedrooms and two bathrooms on the third and fourth floors. All floors enjoy a beautiful canal view
The entrance on the ground floor leads to the kitchen which is fully equipped with electric hob, fridge, microwave oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and all the crockery, utensils and tableware you will need for your stay. There is also a large kitchen table and chairs and a dresser. An iron and ironing board are also provided.
Internal stairs lead to the upper floor where there is the living room offering a sofa bed, comfortable chairs, work desk , reading lamps, TV, DVD, CD player, Ipod docking station and complimentary wireless internet.
On each of the next two floors both double bedrooms have their own private bathroom with toilet, shower, handbasin and towel rail.
Weekly cleaning and linen change service.
Additional Booking Conditions:
- A 4 night minimum stay will apply for Easter and Queens Day and a 5 night minimum stay across Christmas and New Year. A 7 night stay will apply during the annual IBC conference.
- As with most hotels, on arrival you will be asked to pay the balance of the booking charge in full.
- If you cancel between 7 days and 48 hours of your arrival date you will be charged a further 50% of the total amount of your stay.
- If you cancel within 48 hours of your arrival or you are a no show you will be charged the full amount of your stay.
- A late check-in charge of EUR 20 will apply for all check-ins post 20.00.

The building was gorgeous and in a great neighborhood. In addition, the greeter was very friendly with helpful tips about the neighborhood. It would have been nice to have more towels and tea towels available. The supplies were adequate but could have been more generous.

It was very good of the greeter to let us leave our luggage. We did not fly until 10 pm so this was very much appreciated. Lockers at the station cost 7 Euros and we had 5 bags. So this was really handy for us. The greeter was really nice and polite and kept in touch when needed.

You called and spoke to me which in this day and age is wonderful. I thought you were very professional. This was a family trip and the house is in an excellent location for the Anne Frank House, Canal trips, The Pancake bakery - great for kids, and generally pottering about some lovely streets full of character and quirky shops.
