This charming apartment is located on the top floor of one of only a handful of free-standing chalets in Zermatt. The chalet enjoys an elevated and sunny position in Zermatt’s Winklematten area, offering breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the Matterhorn and the surrounding mountains. Guests can ski to within 100m of the door and it is conveniently situated next to the free ski bus stop. At only three minutes walk to the Klein Matterhorn ski lift and ten minutes to the centre of the village this is a wonderfully situated apartment.
Built in a typical Alpine style and clad in weathered wood, apartment Stalden combines contemporary with classical Swiss architecture.
The highly qualified chefs will provide breakfast and home baked afternoon tea each day and a four course gourmet evening meal six out of seven nights. They are ably assisted by a chalet host who will serve tea or coffee in bed, help with breakfast and service the chalet daily. There will be two other staff to assist with the upkeep and cleaning of the chalet and guests requirements during their stay as well as a concierge team. Chalet Grace has 4 dedicated staff.
Breakfast can be whatever you wish from omelette, pancakes, fresh fruit smoothies, pastries, cold meats, cheeses to a full English breakfast. Hot options are cooked to order each morning. Afternoon tea is a selection of home made cakes.
After an enjoyable day on the mountain the staff are on hand to serve aperitifs and canapes followed by a delectable four course evening meal served with carefully selected wines.
An evening turn-down service is given while you enjoy a digestif by the fire.
The chalet features a stylish living room with wood fire place and Matterhorn views, cable TV, DVD and an integrated surround sound system. The apartment enjoys Matterhorn views and South facing balconies. There is broadband wireless internet access throughout the chalet.
The open plan modern kitchen/dining area is very well equipped with full oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso machine and plenty of pots, pans and tableware. The extend-able teak dining table can accommodate up to 12 guests.
There are four very attractive double bedrooms (two with TV and DVD) and three bathrooms (one en-suite). The beds can be made up as doubles or twins.
The lower ground floor of the chalet has a ski room, laundry and wellness area. There is a pine wood sauna, rainfall shower, WC and relaxation area with flat-screen TV and surround sound. This can be booked for private use on request.

Please note that this apartment is accessed by an exterior staircase of approximately 12 steps.
Additional Booking Conditions:
- For this apartment the deposit required is shown in the price calculation. A further 50% is required within 1 week of booking. The full outstanding balance must be paid at least 10 weeks before arrival. Payment can be made either by bank transfer or credit card. If payment of the balance is by credit card a 3.25% processing charge will be applied. Bank transfer details will be emailed to you on receipt of your booking request.
- Cancellations.
In the event of cancellation the following charges will apply:
- For cancellations made more than 84 days before the date of arrival 75% of the booking cost will be refunded, less the initial non-refundable deposit paid at the time of booking.
- For cancellations made between 83 and 63 days before the date of arrival 60% of the booking cost will be refunded, less the initial non-refundable deposit paid at the time of booking.
- For cancellations made between 62 and 28 days before the date of arrival 20% of the booking cost will be refunded, less the initial non-refundable deposit paid at the time of booking.
- For cancellations made 27 days or less before the date of arrival no refund will be made.
- Check-in time is after 1600 and check out is by 10.00am. Where possible the apartment manager will try to accommodate your requirements.
