This stunning chalet is in Winklematten, on the outskirts of the village.
The old chapel is from the 17th century and the sheep barns are burnt by the strong Valais sun.
It is a 15-minute stroll to the village centre or 5 minutes by electric ski-bus or electric taxi.
Chalet Shalimar has a ski-in ski-out location (snow conditions permitting) It has some great features including a ski room with heated boot racks, a wonderful terrace and balconies with commanding views of the Matterhorn. On the lower ground floor you have access to the stunning swimming pool, sauna and steam bath where you can relax after an invigorating day on the slopes.
The chalet has four apartments in total which can be booked individually or as one for larger groups.
The living/dining areas are spacious and inviting, with sumptuous furnishings giving a cosy home from home feel. There is also a telephone and wireless internet available.
The chalet has ten comfortable bedrooms, each with two single beds made together as a double and each with a smart en suite bathroom. Also provided are Aromatherapy Associates products, bathrobes, slippers, hair dryers, hypo-allergenic pillows and duvets, fresh fruit and daily newspapers.
The chalet is fully catered. Included in the price is a champagne reception on arrival, early morning tea or coffee in bed, full hot breakfast on 6 mornings, a continental breakfast on the 7th, afternoon tea, canapes and pre dinner drinks, four course dinner accompanied by outstanding complimentary wines, cheese and port and followed by coffee and chocolates.
The top floor of the building is a great space for guests to enjoy, with living areas and a sumptuous dining area and a separate TV/games room.

For this apartment the price includes a taxi from the station to the apartment on arrival.
Additional Booking Conditions:
- For this apartment the price does not include local tourist tax of Chf 2.10 per adult & Chf 1.05 per child per night. This is payable on arrival.
- For this apartment the full outstanding balance must be paid at least 30 days prior to the arrival date or within 3 days of booking if booked within 30 days of arrival. Payment can be by bank transfer or by credit card. If the balance is paid by debit/credit card a 3% charge will be applied.
- Cancellations. For cancellations received up to 90 days before the arrival date Ch.300 will be charged.
- For cancellations received up to 60 days before the arrival date 50% of the outstanding balance will be charged.
- Bookings cancelled within 60 days of the arrival date or for no-shows the balance will be fully payable.
- For this apartment guests will be asked to provide credit card details as a damage security deposit.
- Please note, this is a non-smoking apartment.
- From 1st June - 30th September there is a 3 night minimum stay. Cheaper rates are available for stays of 7 nights or more. Please contact us for details.
- From 1st December - 30th April there is a 7 night minimum stay, except where a booking includes nights between December 27th and January 3rd, where there is a 14 night minimum stay.
- Cot/crib hire is an extra charge.
