Riffelsee Lake is nestled between Riffelberg and Rotenboden, at 2757m. Located along a path named Riffelseeweg, you can reach this beautiful lake from Zermatt by taking the Gornergratbahn, or mountain railway, to the Rotenboden station. From here it is about a 10 minute walk. The lake is well worth a visit to admire the Matterhorn, that can be seen perfectly reflected in the lake on a still, clear day.
