Annual Horu Trophy
The Horu Trophy is set to be played from Thursday, 12 January to 15 January, 2012. The open-air curling tournament will be held Natureisbahn ice rink in the town of Zermatt and will be celebrating its 21st anniversary. This curling tournament is one of the largest in Europe.
About 68 teams in 17 different lanes will compete for the honor to own the title of Horu Trophy Holder of 2012. Teams from all over Europe and the world join in on the event to compete for a winning position.
Zermatt’s famous Curling Club was founded in 1933. The club was founded by visitors who enjoyed the leisurely, social sport during their annual visits to Zermatt.
If you haven’t experienced curling firsthand, the Horu Tournament is a must-see during your stay in Zermatt. Being in the middle of the town, the curling rinks prove to be a popular visiting spot from your Zermatt apartment.
