Holidaymakers dreaming of a summer romance in Paris now have longer to make it a reality.

Catering for heightened demand, Eurostar is allowing travellers to book tickets until August 15 as opposed to July 15, which is the usual four-month booking horizon for the high-speed rail service.

So whether you're enjoying a romantic getaway or soaking up the hundreds of music and cultural festivals throughout France and Belgium, you have longer to get there by Eurostar.

And the journey promises to be swift and comfortable - you can get from London St Pancras to Paris in just two hours and 15 minutes, thanks to the High Speed 1 line.

What's more, all Eurostar journeys are carbon neutral, at no extra cost to the passenger.

European travel is set to be bustling this summer. Between the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Diamond Jubilee celebrations and the 20th anniversary of Disneyland Paris, travellers are advised to plan ahead.

Nick Mercer, commercial director for Eurostar, said: 'The summer months are always our busiest for leisure travel and with so many exciting events happening across Europe, we expect this summer to be more popular than ever.

'This is why we've extended our summer booking horizon to five months and we're encouraging travellers to book early to avoid disappointment.'

Holidaymakers can book high-speed train tickets from London St Pancras, Ebbsfleet International and Ashford International to Paris, Brussels and Lille.

Tickets for travel from the UK to Paris, Disneyland Paris, Brussels and Lille start from £69 return in standard and £189 return in standard premier.

And once you've arrived at your chosen destination, your Eurostar ticket entitles you to a range of offers for museums, galleries, restaurants and shopping.

For more information, to check availability and to book Eurostar tickets, visit www.eurostar.com or call 08432 186 186.
