Paris Autumn Festival
A Seasonal Celebration of Contemporary Visual Arts
Paris Autumn Festival, or ‘Festival d'Automne à Paris’, is a celebration of the visual arts, that takes place – as the name suggests – in the autumn months. During this seasonal event, the Bohemian French capital increases its schedule of the visual arts, and showcases many performances in a variety of iconic venues.
From early October through to late December, over 350 performances will take place, including music, dance, theatre, film and art exhibitions. This year’s event marks the 41st year for the Autumn Festival, which was founded by Michel Guy, in 1972. The mission of this contemporary festival was to bring new culture to the French capital, and in doing so, discover new and emerging talents.
Visitors staying in Paris Holiday Apartments may want to schedule a performance of two into their city break, and with past venues including The National Opera House and Lourve Museum, may have the opportunity to explore historic buildings and areas of interest at the same time.
With an extensive 3 month program, visit http://www.festival-automne.com/program-2011.html to browse dates, venues, and to book your performance. Many of the Autumn Festival venues are conveniently located to Paris Holiday Apartments.
