Emirates Stadium
Located in North London, the Emirates Stadium is an architecturally superb stadium that boasts a capacity of over 60,000. Arsenal FC plays their home fixtures here, a team renowned for being aesthetically pleasing to watch and who provide an eye-catching brand of football. With the stadium still relatively new, it makes for a comfortable and entertaining afternoon out from our London apartments with the chance to see what all the fuss is about regarding the much loved sport of football.
The stadium has been used by Arsenal since 2006 when they moved from Highbury. Since then, the Emirates has also been used for other uses such as music concerts and a political conference centre, but also for other sports due to its capacity and modern facilities.
These include being used as a venue for the forthcoming Rugby World Cup in 2015, as well as the highly exciting Brazil national team’s fixtures when in Europe.
Tickets for a home game for Arsenal generally costs between £50 and £100 depending on where you’re sitting. You can also visit the Arsenal Club Museum which allows you to get an insight into this famous club’s history and traditions, priced at £7 for adults and is open Mondays to Saturdays 10am-6pm, except Sundays when it closes at 5pm or match days when it closes half an hour before kick-off.
It is easy to get to the Emirates Stadium from our London apartments, with the Arsenal and Highbury & Islington tube stations a short walk away. The Emirates is a fantastic contemporary stadium and a visit will allow you to see some of the best football entertainment in the world.
