Olympic Venue: Lord's Cricket Ground
Usually home to some of the most prestigious cricket matches, Lord’s Cricket Ground will take a 2 week break from batting and bowling to welcome the Olympic Archery events to its grounds. Originally an activity for hunting and defense, Archery has developed into a competitive sport and firmly joined the Olympic programme in 1972. 6,500 spectators will have the privilege of enjoying this fantastic event and watch as 64 male and 64 female archers compete with patience and accuracy for the gold medal. Lord’s Cricket Ground is located in north-west London, near Regent’s Park.
