The British Library

A Huge Compilation of Unique Items and Valuable Pieces on Display

The British Library is the largest library in terms of its collection in the world, with around 150 million items from almost every country imaginable. The display is available in practically every language possible, truly making it the information resource capital of the world for people of all cultures. Many of its historic items date back centuries, some even to 2000 BC. These items can also be extremely rare and valuable pieces, such as hand-written manuscripts of John Lennon songs and original playwrights from William Shakespeare, with much more all proudly on display. Our London apartments nearby will allow you to visit this wonderful attraction and see its extraordinary collection of displays in person.

The library was established in its current location in 1973 and has been growing its array of unique items ever since. Besides the library itself, the building is the home of various cafés and restaurants to enjoy, making it a perfect day out from one of our London apartments. The library has almost any type of interesting items you can think of, whether it’s books, manuscripts, newspapers, journals, stamps or drawings.

The library is well within walking distance of both Euston and King’s Cross St. Pancras, two of London’s most accessible tube stations. The library is completely free to visit, giving you no excuse not to see this impressive and thorough exhibition from one of our London apartments.
