Hampton Court Palace
Located in the naturally beautiful region of Richmond, Hampton Court Palace is one of London’s greatest architectural masterpieces. The iconic Tudor architecture and the array of beautiful and tranquil gardens make the palace such a special place and a tourist hotspot. Hampton Court Palace was originally for the royalty of the British monarchy, yet now it is open for the public to visit along with the famous Hampton Court Maze and the stunning gardens too, making a visit from one of our London vacation rentals a fabulous day out.
The palace was originally built in 1529 during King Henry VIII’s reign, before plans for it to be rebuilt began and were halted midway through in 1694. As a result, Hampton Court Palace can boast two types of architectural designs from the Tudor age and Stuart age, truly making it a unique piece of architecture. George II was the last King to reside in the Palace, with a rich, royal heritage that makes it such a famous and intriguing attraction.
Our London vacation rentals nearby also allow you to explore Hampton Court Maze, one of the world’s most famous mazes, as well as the stunning selection of gardens and flowers that reside all around the palace. The Palace also hosts the Hampton Court Palace Festival, a music festival held in June, as well as the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, the biggest flower show in the world and held in early July when the gardens are particularly beautiful.
Tickets to enter the Palace are priced at a maximum of around £15, though it is cheaper for children and students, as well as the option of saving money with a family ticket for around £43 if there are more than two of you. Hampton Court Rail station is right outside, making it easy to get to and from the palace. We have London vacation rentals within close distance of Hampton Court Palace, so make sure you visit this distinctive and beautiful palace when you’re visiting the magical city of London.
