For one week in December, the South Bank Centre is a hub of festive culinary delights, with visitors being met by familiar and heart-warming aromas such as mince pies and mulled wine.
This favourite foodie event is taking place from the 16th – 23rd December and admission is free for all visitors. You will be spoilt for choice with over 40 producers exhibiting their specialities, ranging from fresh meats, cheeses, chutneys, pickles and seasonal specialities. Whether the purpose of your visit is to stock your Christmas cupboards, buy mouth-watering gifts, or simply to browse around and enjoy the festive atmosphere, this event is a real crowd-pleaser.
This joyful food festival is a treat, not only for the mouth, but also for the eyes and ears, with glimmering Christmas lights and carol singers. The Real Food Festival is a great event for youngsters, with children’s cookery workshops, giving them the opportunity to cook and decorate tasty Christmas treats. The Real Food Festival is open daily from 12pm-8pm, apart from Sunday 18th, with an earlier closing time of 6pm. The festival venue is the Southbank Centre and is within easy reach of many London apartment rentals. Take a stroll along the Southbank from Waterloo and the Southbank Centre is located near the London Eye. The nearest tube station is Waterloo.
