London Fashion Weekend
As the fashion capital of the UK, and some may say for Europe – this week-long fashion event will showcase new and established designers and the latest innovative developments in glamour and style. The much anticipated London Fashion Weekend is being held on the 14th-18th September in the city capital, drawing in fashion-fanatics from around the world to appreciate international designs from the industry.
The build up to the weekend is London Fashion Week - a trade event, open only to those who work in the fashion industry. It certainly gets London in the mood for the weekend event ahead, which sees thousands of fashion forward fanatics descending on London for discounted designer shopping, vintage, boutique and footwear-specific areas, and of course, the notorious catwalk.
The highlight for many is the opportunity to purchase designer pieces at bargain prices. Other features not to be missed include the window installation, which sees fashion designers creating top-class outfits in front of the audiences’ very eyes. To complete the experience, visitors can treat themselves to a massage or pedicure at The Retreat. A new addition to this year's catwalk schedule, is a dedicated menswear section, along with various male clothing lines available to purchase.
As always, this prestigious fashion event is sure to attract a host of famous musicians, actresses and socialites, and is a great London venue for star-spotting. For one week, London turns its full attention onto the fashion world, with the event venue – Somerset House – hosting the daytime schedule, and after-show parties and networking taking place in some of London’s classiest nightclubs.
The London Fashion Weekend is a great event for those staying in London Apartment Rentals. Somerset House is located across the river from Waterloo Train Station and visitors can travel by underground to Temple station, located just a few minutes walk away.
