Stepney is an area of East London currently reimaging itself and catching up with the rest of modern London. If you rent one of our London apartments within the area you will be able to easily access the centre of London and see some of the skyline, as well as being just a few stops from the Olympic village and all of the developments that are on-going. Though it’s not yet finished, much of Stepney has already been revamped, attracting exciting new businesses to the area and providing some tourist hotspots to keep you entertained.

During World War Two, Stepney suffered just as much as any other area of London, being the victim of bombing which had a dramatic impact on the district. Despite this, some Georgian and Victorian architecture did still survive, ensuring there is still a strong sense of history within Stepney.

Perhaps Stepney’s most historic landmark is the St Dunstan’s Church, which was founded in the year 923 and still stands strong even today, miraculously surviving the heavy bombing of World War Two. However, Stepney has now benefited from modern businesses swamping to the area, including the fantastic eatery L’Oasis and is only a couple of minutes’ walk from the tube station Stepney Green. There are also a number of traditional English pubs and East End markets nearby so you can sample the unique and famous atmosphere this part of London is so famous for.
