South Kensington
With Kensington being one of London’s most popular hotspots, South Kensington is also a great place to rent one of our London apartments in an affluent region of West London. Some of London’s best entertainment is within walking distance, whilst the famous Kensington High Street is a short tube journey away, as is the rest of Kensington and the luxurious district of Chelsea.
South Kensington historically has a strong French influence, evidenced by the amount of French cafés and bookshops in the area and also the French Institute, a cinema devoted to films from France. The area was scarcely developed up until the 19th Century before then becoming one of the most prominent and attractive areas in London, thanks in turn to Hyde Park and its Great Exhibition, which has now become Exhibition Road.
The Royal Albert Hall is well within distance from our South Kensington London apartments, as is the glorious architectural gem the London Oratory, displaying the areas reputation for culture. There are also a number of museums including the Science Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum, though the main attraction is unquestionably the Natural History Museum where admission is free. With an array of restaurants and bars to enjoy too, it all makes for an exciting place to rent one of our London apartments.
The local tube links are excellent, with numerous underground lines and stations well within walking distance as you’d expect for such a sought after region. So, if you rent one of our London apartments in South Kensington, you will see for yourself what makes the district of Kensington so desirable.
