Sziget Festival
Sziget is Europe’s largest music and cultural festival, taking place on Budapest’s island of Óbuda every summer. This week long festival brings together some of the biggest names in pop, rock, jazz and folk music from all over the world. In between concerts you can enjoy the alternative entertainment, ranging from sport to theatre and bungee jumping to tattooing.
The festival has 1,000 performances, across 60 stages and platforms, and attracts over 400,000 visitors, almost half travelling from Western Europe. This year’s festival is taking place 6th - 13th August with past performances from Dizzee Rascal, Kasabian, La Roux, Manic Street Preachers, Pulp, Skunk Anansie, The Chemical Brothers and The White Lies to name a few!
On-site camping facilities are available but if you’re looking for that extra bit of comfort and convenience, many of our Budapest apartments are conveniently located just a short walk or bus ride from the festival venue.
