From the 10th-21st October 2012, the annual Berlin Festival of Lights will see the German capital sparkle and glow from a number of coloured laser projections and up-lighting. Iconic landmarks such as the Berlin Cathedral, Brandenburg Gate and the TV Tower, to name a few, will look spectacular by night, and throughout the festival, Berlin is transformed into a city of lights.

In celebration of the Berlin Festival of Lights, many exhibitions, sporting and live music events are held across the city, including colourful cocktails at the LightBar, a night time marathon through the centre in the City LightRun, a Light Art Installation and Jazz event at the Minister Gardens.

Leaving your Berlin apartment rental, visitors can partake in some ‘Lightseeing’ via a choice of transportation methods. By road, tours are available on the Light-Liner Bus, whereas those who would like to experience the festival from a different perspective can choose to travel by boat on a Light-Cruso tour. By foot you are able to get up close to the landmarks, and some visitors opt to travel by rickshaw to cover more distance.
