The Lilly Houseboat, Houseboat in Lively Jordaan.

This lovely houseboat is is well located close to the newly renovated Westerpark, just a short walk from many restaurants, cafes and shops, and within walking distance of Centraal Station.

The neighborhood is the perfect base for experiencing all that Amsterdam has to offer with it's fantastic cafes, restaurants, coffee shops and bars. The area of Jordaan oozes atmosphere with its narrow streets, picturesque canals, brown cafes, art galleries and unique shops

The houseboat consists of a living room, kitchen, a double bedroom, a smaller twin room and shower room.

The living room has a sofa bed, comfortable chairs, a coffee table, reading lamps, a DVD player, a CD player and a TV with cable channels including English speaking channels,.

The fitted kitchen has an oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and all the crockery, cutlery and utensils you will need for your stay.

The double bedroom has a double bed, bedside tables, reading lamps plus a wardrobe. There is also a desk and chair.

The smaller twin room has two bunk beds. This room is more suitable for two children, but can sleep two adults. We should point out that space is limited in this room.

The separate shower room comprises of a shower, toilet, hand basin, mirror and a towel rail. A hair dryer, iron and ironing board are also provided for your personal use.

Outside is a pretty terrace providing a wonderful relaxing place to sit and relax watching the world go by on the canal.

Pets are not allowed.

Additional Booking Conditions:
  • Smoking is not permitted in the houseboat.
  • A cash security deposit of EUR 50 will be required to be paid on arrival.
  • The latest check-in time is 23.00.
  • A 4 night minimum stay will apply during Easter and Queen's Day and a 5 night minimum stay during the New Year period and the IBC conference in September.
  • Thereafter, if you cancel within 7 days of your arrival date there will be an additional 25% cancellation charge.
  • If you cancel with 24 hours of your arrival or do not show, you will be charged your total rental charge.

A couple of minor things would have helped: This houseboat is on the bus routes 18 and 21 from Central Station - it took us quite a while to find this out and buy tickets from the various tourist info offices around the station. Willing to meet us at the houseboat earlier than 3pm which was great (otherwise we'd have been dragging our bags around Amsterdam from 11am.) Gave us some useful info about the immediate area. Two beautiful vases of roses and some "Houseboat" sweeties greeted our arrival too, which was very thoughtful. Also a great box of board games which gave the kids something more interesting than the TV/DVD to do in the evenings, that and feeding the ducklings from the verandah (their family had built a nest around the mooring rope of the boat.) "

The location was within walking distance and the staff appreciated the business and it showed in how we were treated. Another local rest. was a Thai rest with in walking distance."
