"I strongly recommend this apt for any couple. My wife and I were celebrating our ten year anniversary, so this was an extra special trip. We found the apt ideal for a couple. We spent 8 nights there and were very comfortable. There's a great grocery store very close. There are trams very close. We rented bikes for the entire time and locked them up on a bike rack outside. We recommend renting bikes to anyone: it was very easy to get around (not surprisingly of course). And from this apt, we found that when we took day trips outside the city, it was easy to bike to Amsterdam Sloterdijk train station instead of Centraal Station. Sloterdijk is actually much more easy to manage (no ticket queues, easy-to-find bike racks, and access to trains to almost all of the same destinations as Centraal -- actually all of the same if you consider that you can quickly take a train from Sloterdijk to Centraal station if needed for places like Utrecht). But back to the
apt: The view from the frontroom of the apt is a park and canals. The view from the bedroom is a large shared garden area with trees. All views were very green and very pleasant to wake up to each day. We had everything we needed in the apt and the owner/greeter was extremely nice and welcoming. She made herself available to us if we needed her -- but since she had done such a good job of preparing the apt and informing us, we didn't need to contact her until it was time to leave.

"Favorite restaurant in Amsterdam was De Kas. Favorite side trip was to Marithuis, a fantastic museum in The Hague."
