This elegant apartment is located in the delightful Jordaan, in the heart of Amsterdam's old city centre.
The area is known for its numerous restaurants, cafes, boutiques, speciality shops and relaxed atmosphere.
The apartment is located on the Binnen Brouwersstraat between the Haarlemmerstraat, which was named the Best Shopping Street in the Netherlands in 2007, and the Brouwersgracht, one of the best residential canals.
There are many cosy cafes, a variety of restaurants, speciality shops and boutiques close at hand. The traditional Jordaan district hosts quite a few colourful local markets on a weekly basis.
This three bedroom, second floor apartment is in a house that was built around 1790 and is a national monument. In the 1820s it was home to the young Multatuli, Holland's most famous author. Totally renovated in 2007, the house has retained its historical details, yet offers every modern comfort and convenience.
It has a large living area that is open plan to a modern fully equipped kitchen and dining area. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The apartment is on the second, third and fouth floors of the apartment and has two flights of steep stairs.
The living room features a sofa, armchairs, coffee table, flat screen TV with satellite channels and DVD player. Complimentary high speed internet is also provided.
The modern and fully equipped open kitchen features a fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave, washing machine and all the cutlery, utensils and tableware you will need for your stay. There is a dining table and chairs.
There is a bedroom with en suite bathroom, a bedroom with original wooden floors, a second bathroom, plus a third bedroom / study at the top of the house. There is one double bed and two of the bedrooms have twin rooms.
The bathroom provides a bath with a shower over, toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail.
A child's cot and high chair can also be provided on request for a small extra charge.
Temporary foldaway beds can be provided for up to 3 extra guests, for an extra charge.
Additional Booking Conditions:
- The rates for this apartment exclude 5% city tax, which will be added to the balance paid directly to your apartment manager.
- A 25% deposit will be taken directly by the apartment manager at the time of booking.
- The outstanding balance will then be due 14 days prior to your arrival date.
- Payment can be made either by credit card or bank transfer. If payment is made by bank transfer, funds must be cleared, a minimum of 14 days prior to arrival. If payment is made by credit card, an authorisation is required, which must be signed and returned directly to your apartment manager.
- On arrival a EUR 500 credit card pre-authorisation will be required, per apartment. This security deposit will be returned to your card on the first business day following your check-out unless there have been any damages or complaints from neighbours, the police or other guests regarding anti-social behaviour.
- A 5 night minimum stay will apply during the Easter, Christmas and New Year period, and a 7 night minimum stay will apply during the period of the IBC Conference in September.
- The cost of a cot or a high chair is EUR 15 per item, per night.
- Cancellation Policy.
- In the event of cancellation your initial deposit is non-refundable.
- Thereafter, If you cancel within 14 days of your arrival date, a further charge equivalent to 25% of the outstanding balance will apply.
- If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival date, or do not show, a charge equivalent to 100% of the outstanding balance will apply.
