The 13th edition of the Tangomagia festival welcomes Argentine tango to Amsterdam. The 2011 festival will be held from 27 December to 30 December. The 2012 dates have yet to be confirmed.

The event will bring the city to life, using many of Amsterdam’s cultural hubs and popular tourist points including the Kompaszaal, Hotel Arena, The Max, De Duif, and the newest location on the venue, USC Science Park. All of these locations can be reached easily from your Amsterdam accommodation via public transport or a short walk.

Each night, a new venue is chosen for the shows and festivities.On Sunday, 26 December, the Kimpaszaal will be the opening venue of choice and will hold festivities from 23.00 to 4.00. Monday’s venue, only a short way from your Amsterdam apartment, is De Duif. The following nights will be the Max, Hotel Arena, and De Duif, respectively. Events usually last until around 3.00.

Some of the best tangueros and tangueras from Buenos Aires, Europe, and all over the world will be attending. This year, Amsterdam is pleased to announce its premier of the orchestras Electrico Ardor and Ojos de Tango.

The line-up of locations includes some of the richest cultural locations in the city. The De Duif, located very close to your Amsterdam apartment, is a church that has been restored beautifully. The location includes a fantastic dance area that makes it perfect for Argentine tango.

Zandunga Tangoproductions has been the organization responsible for the TangoN programme. This programme is a set of classes and practices for young people. This project is a great opportunity for students, beginners, and intermediates alike to learn what it’s like to experience Argentine Tango.
